Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has tried to downplay an rising spat over a ‘sizzling mic’ second during which he appeared to mock US President Donald Trump whereas talking to different NATO leaders.
Trudeau mentioned his “jaws dropped” remark was in relation to Trump’s announcement that the following G7 summit could be held at Camp David. He maintained that the US and Canada have sturdy ties and that he and Trump have a “good and constructive” relationship.
He added that “We had been all shocked and happy to study that the following G7 summit could be held in Camp David.”
The Canadian chief didn’t verify whether or not he apologized for his offhand remarks about Trump, who has cancelled his remaining press convention of the continued NATO summit, and referring to Trudeau as “two-faced.”
